Nils Howard Case, 62, of route 4, Box 191-B, Millburg Heights road, Benton township, died at 5:10 a.m. this morning in Mercy hospital. He had been in ill health for a year and hospitalized since Jan. 17.
Mr. Case was born Feb. 7, 1903, in South Bend and had been a resident here since 1957. He was employed by the Gast Manufacturing Co. for five years until ill health forced him to retire in April of 1964.
He served in the U.S. Marines from 1922 until 1926.
Survivors include a son, Leonard of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Terry (Ruth) Tucker of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Charles (Elda) Burns of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Alice Kuehl of Benton Harbor; two grandchildren, Marcie and Gary, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Arthur, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Granger, preceded him in death.
