Services for Mrs. Mary Bonnie Buckman, 74, who died at 7:15 p.m. at her home, 501 8th St., were held with a funeral mass at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she was a faithful member. The Rev. Charles A. De Nardi officiated.
Burial took place at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Paducah.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mary Bonnie was survived by her dear husband, Clement Jackson Buckman.
The loving mother of nine daughters, Miss Ava Buckman, Mrs. Laura (Alton) Wheatley, Mrs. Mary Henrietta (Carl) Williams, Mrs. Katherine (Willis) Mathis, Mrs. Anna Louise (Edward) Mathis, Mrs. Gracie (Homer) Asher, Mrs. Agnes (Spiro) Casha, Mrs. Lois (Roy) Cole, Mrs. Elizabeth (Irving) Amis. Also three sons, Joseph Earl Buckman, Clarence Buckman and an unnamed son who died at birth.
Three brothers, Harvey Toon of St. Charles, Ky., Raymond Toon and Randall Toon, both of Fancy Farm, Ky.; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Hayden of Fancy Farm, Mrs. Laura Billingsley and Mrs. Maggie Hodge of California, Mrs. Minnie Carrico of Detroit, Mich.
The grandmother of fourty five grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Lucinda Elliot Toon; her three sons, Joseph Earl Buckman, who died at age 35, an infant son, Clarence, another infant son, name unknown.
Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, Ky. was in charge of arrangements, where prayers and the rosary were said the evening before burial.
