Ada Dell Owen Averitt, 100, of Whitestown, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2001, at the Carmel Care Center.


She was born June 20, 1900, in Milton, Ky., the daughter of George I. and Dora Sigman Owen. She was a housewife, a former member of the Milton, Ky., Baptist Church, and a member of the Speedway Baptist Church.


Surviving are one brother, Vincent Owen of Rising Sun; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.


Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Milton Baptist Church, with burial in Moffett Cemetery.


Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary in Zionsville; and from 10 a.m. to time of the service Wednesday at the church.


Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
