BARBERTON, J. Robert Nelson 81 of 39 25th St. N.W. died Aug. 12.
A resident of Barberton 70 years, he was an active member of the First Baptist Church, having served as deacon and teacher of the men's Sunday School Class. He was employed at the Babcock & Wilcox Co. 50 years, and was supervisor of Stirling Engineering Department at the time of his retirement. He was a secretary of the Greenlawn Cemetery Board, an active Red Cross Bloodmobile Volunteer, past Master of National Lodge No. 568. F & AM, past High Priest, past District Deputy and Grand High Priest of the 17th District of Portage Chapter No. 202 R.A.M. past Illustrious Master of Akron Council No. 80, R & SM, Akron Commandery No. 25, Knights Templar, and was currently serving as president of the Barberton Masonic Temple Board.

He is survived by wife, Florence, daughter, Marilyn Collier of Norton, grandchildren, Greg, Todd and Amy Collier, all of Norton, nieces & nephews.

Funeral services Wednesday, 1 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, Dr. Lee C. Riggs and Rev. Frederick Harold officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church. Masonic services will be conducted by National Lodge No. 568, F & AM, Tuesday, 8 P.M. (Campfield Hickman, Barberton, 745-3161).
