FORMER RESIDENT DIED LAST MONDAY IN TALLAHASSEE
DR. J.P. WILLIAMS, RETIRED DENTIST, BURIED HERE LAST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Dr. Joseph P. Williams,82, formerly of Reidsville, died on Monday in Tallahassee, Fla., after a lengthy illness.
Dr. Williams had lived in Reidsville practically his whole life and had practiced his dentistry here for fifty years. Funeral services were held at the Reidsville cemetery and were conducted by Rev. H.M. Overstreet and Rev. Thos. H. Thomson.
Masonic services were conducted Rising Sun Lodge Post No. 32, F & AM, of which he was a member.
Survivors include in wife, Mrs. Mary Belle Williams, of Tallahassee, Fla.; one son, Orlando L. Williams, Savannah; five daughter, Mrs. Jesse Moore Sr., of Savannah, Mrs. Mary Jo Garris of Tallahassee, Fla.; Helen and Sarah Williams, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great grand children.
McCall_- Trapnell Funeral Home of Reidsville was in charge of arrangements.
