Lucy Ellen Harrison, 89 years old, died Sunday afternoon at her home in Dugger, following a lingering illness. She was the wife of Rev. James T. Harrison, who was one of the early Methodist ministers in this community.
Her husband preceded her in death many years. They came to Dugger in 1893.
Survivors are the following children: Bert of Vincennes; Charles, of Anderson; Mrs. John Funk, Dugger; Mrs. Charles Frakes, Tennyson, Indiana, and Claude of Dugger.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Hickory, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. P. W. Boxwell, of Jonesboro, will officiate. M. J. Aikin and Sons have charge of funeral arrangements. Sullivan Daily Times Mon. Jan 4, 1937

******** Lucy Ellen Jackson was born February 10, 1846 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of Sam and Elizabeth (Barnes or Pierce) Jackson. Her parents died shortly after her birth, according to the obituary of her sister, Julia Jackson Moyers. It is unknown at this time where they are buried. We also do not know who raised Lucy and her siblings, Andrew and Julia.
