According to a transcription record of the cemetery based on a survey, "Edith D. Bisard," "daughter of O.O. & S.," was 10 months old when she died on 1 Feb 1865. The very weathered obelisk appears to give both Feb & 1865 for her death date, but the difficulty of a reading the stone makes this only a suggested date. According to a Death Record for an Edith A. Bissard with the same parents died 8 Mar 1868 at 9 months 27 days (See Death Record under Photos). I have been unable to determine whether the Edith on the Death Record is the same Edith Bisard as this memorial or whether the parents named another daughter Edith after the decease of the daughter reflected in this memorial.
