COLUMBIA — Funeral services for Carl "Dad" Allen, 82, of Clarks, were to be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home here with the Rev. K. D. Mills officiating.
Burial was to be in Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks for Mr. Allen who died Thursday morning at his residence after a short illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fannie Allen of Clarks; one son, Clifford Allen of Clarks; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Norman of Jackson; one brother, Clyde Allen of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Olsen of Grant Pass, Ore. and Mrs. Mable Jackson of Clarks; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were to serve as pallbearers.
