He is survived by a son, Mikel Jenkins of Jersey City, N.J.; his mother, Mattie Godfrey of Charleston, S.C.; father, Nathaniel M. Jenkins Jr. of Statesboro; step-mother, Betty Jenkins of Statesboro; three sisters, Carolyn Jenkins of Atlanta, Kellie Jenkins of Statesboro and Tanzania Ware of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, David Jenkins of Statesboro; two step-brothers, Joseph Godfrey of Charleston, S.C., and Marlon Hendrix of Statesboro; one step-sister, Pamela Godfrey of Charleston, S.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Elm Street Church of God with Rev. Alexander Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Eastside Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Friday from 7-8 p.m. in the Robena Raymond Memorial Chapel at Craig R. Tremble & Sons Funeral Home.
