Rickie Laine Eadens, 53, of Bowling Green, died at 3:40 p.m. March 17, 2011, at his sister's residence in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green native was born Sept. 29, 1957. He was a former deputy sheriff at the Warren County Sheriff's Office and a maintenance supervisor for Best Western Motor Inn, DESA and the Continental Inn. He was a former member of Richardsville Baptist Church and helped build Riverview Baptist Church. He also was an Army reservist and was the first D.A.R.E. officer for the Warren County Sheriff's Office. He was a former chief of the Barren River Volunteer Fire Department and was one of the first volunteer firefighters for Richardsville. He was a son of the late Denver Eadens and Roberta Flora Eadens. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Eadens.

Memorial service is at 7 p.m. Monday at Richardsville Baptist Church. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Monday at the church. Rickie requested cremation and his family honored his wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel.

Survivors include a son, Troy Eadens of Bowling Green; a sister, Carolyn Eadens Darnell and her husband, Donald, of Bowling Green; a brother, Donald Eadens and his wife, Donna, of Bowling Green; two nieces, Emily Young and her husband, Jared, and Stacy Binaro and her husband; two nephews, Paul Eadens and his wife, Tamara, and Steven Eadens; an uncle, Doil Eadens and his wife, Laverne; three aunts, May Spikburg, Remona Eadens and O'Nell Keith and her husband, Richard; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Lindsey, Katelyn, Taylor, Alex and Malcolm; and several cousins.
