Allcock - At his residence, in this county, on the 19th inst., of pneumonia, Isaiah Oliver Allcock, aged about 66 years.
Mr. Allcock was born in Muhlenburgh County, near Greenville, but moved to this county at an early day. The writer has been acquainted with him for about 24 years. If he had an enemy, I am not aware of the fact. I never knew a kinder husband and father. He was a good neighbor, was very charitable, and will be sadly missed by the poor of the community.
He expressed himself as being fully prepared for death.
He had been an active Mason for a great number of years.
We, of the community, feel that we have lost one of our best citizens.
Peace to his ashes.
