J. A. YATES
Funeral services were held at the West Main St. Church of Christ Wednesday for J. A. YATES, a resident of Healdton for 25 years. He passed away Tuesday after a lingering illness. W. R. COUCH, elder in the church and long time friend, conducted the services, with burial in Mt. Olive cemetery. Pallbearers, employees of the Magnolia Pipeline Co. of which his son, EVERETT, is an employee: GROVER HOWE, J. E. WILLIAMSON, RALPH PENNEY, J. D. PENSE, FRANK BARBOUR, and CLIFFORD BRYANT.

JOHN ANDREW YATES was born in Kentucky, Nov. 6, 1870, and died Dec. 1, 1942. He made his home in Healdton 25 years and was a member of the West Main St. Church of Christ.

Surviving are his companion, son EVERETT of Healdton; daughters, Mrs. GLADYS DAVIS of Midland, Texas, Mrs. CHRIS CORTMELGIA, Mrs. S. A. MOORE, Mrs. WILLIAM VANSYKE, and Mrs. L. A. ROBERSON, all of Houston, Texas; a sister and four grandchildren.
