Dessie L. "Sally" Bolson, 67, of South Hutchinson, died March 20, 2011 at the Reno County Hospice House. She was born Nov. 22, 1943 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Carl and Lucille Bird Story.
She was a Hutchinson resident since 1978. She was a Homemaker.
Survivors include two children from a previous marriage to Tex Hutson, they are Gene Hutson and wife Michelle, Michelle McCabe and husband Mark, a daughter, Robin Bolson, and two step-daughters, Kellie and Kim Bolson, from her marriage to Gilbert Bolson, who also survives, all from Hutchinson, a brother, John Bird, Franklin, IA, sister Linda Watts, Centerville, IA, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Hutson and her parents.
Funeral service will be 10:30am, Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday and 9:00am to 9:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Dessie L. Bolson Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
