EDWARD E. APPLEMAN

Of Bakers Summit, died at 4.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home after a five-month illness. Mr. Appleman was born Dec. 12, 1874, at Bakers Summit, a son of George H. and Susan (Pote) Appleman. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice E. Ray, whom he married March 30, 1898, at Bedford; two children, Mrs. Marietta Kearns of Mill Creek and Carl E. of Lakemont; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother and one sister, Harry W. of Bakers Summit and Mrs. Cora Garrigan of Arlington, Va. Mr. Appleman retired from farming in 1922. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Friends will be received at Hite Brothers funeral home, Roaring Spring, after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.

APPLEMAN--Services for Edward E. Appleman of Bakers Summit, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Hite Brothers funeral home, Roaring Spring, in charge of Rev. D.L. Shaffer, assisted by Rev. Donald Roher. Interment in Holsinger cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
