Funeral services for Ruby Jordan were conducted at the Jennings First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, October 10, with Rev. Jim McGuire officiating. Interment was in Lawson Cemetery, Yale, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Drumright.
A native of Jennings, where she was born May 27, 1920, Mrs. Jordan died Wednesday, October 8, in the Cushing Masonic Hospital. She had lived in the Jennings area for approximately 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon L. Jordan, of the home in Jennings; seven daughters, Shirley Holeman, Tulsa, Judy Hickson, Cleveland, Linda Perkins and Doris Jordan, both of Edmond, Marilyn Spradlin, Moore, Cherlyn Hawke, Oklahoma City, Lori Jordan, Jennings; four sons, Leroy Jordan, Sapulpa, Robert Jordan, Bartlesville, Lavern Jordan, Jennings, and Earl Jordan, San Francisco, Calif.; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ira Lee Smith, Jennings, and Calvin Smith, Tulsa; and four sisters, Bonnie Jean Spencer, Tulsa, Betty Lou Green, Jennings, Coweta Burk, Mannford, and Phyllis Prather, Tulsa.
