E. Carolyn Ballinger, 85, of Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, died 10:27 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 22, 1996) in Sullivan Living Center, Sullivan.
Private family committal prayer service will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballinger was born in Clay County on June 13, 1910, the daughter of Elmer and Stella Shoup Staley. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Holy Family Catholic Church. She married William Ballinger in 1942. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1982.
Surviving are her daughters, Ruth and husband Glen of Bethany; Diana and husband Tom of Macon; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
