Mary was first married to Charles Wesley McCombs 8/7/1871 in Warrick, Indiana. After the death of Charles, she was married to George Washington Lewis 8/23/1891 in Wayne County. Illinois. The family indicated that she had 9 children. Clayborn, Jasper and Pearl were reported in the 1880 census. In the 1900 census Anice, Laura and Ora McCombs are in the household, along with Ralph and Dee Lewis. One additional child was identified in the obituary for Ora Payne: Ellis McCombs of St. Louis. His WWI registration confirms that he was the son of Mary E. Lewis.
The family also reported that at least two of her McCombs grandchildren over the age of 100 are living in 2017.
There is a burial between Mary and daughter Anice in the Ten Post cemetery listing done in 1975 as "G.W. McCombs", aged 37 years, 19 days who died January 8, 1889. I believe this actually Charles McCombs.
