One of Athens' and Clarke County's Oldest and Best Known Citizens.
The announcement that Mr George M Booth, age 70, died at his home, 445 Meigs street, this morning at 12:30 o'clock, will cause genuine regret to hundreds of Athens and Clarke County people, to whom he was well known and by whom he was sincerely liked, as well as wide circle of friends throughout the state.
Me Booth had been in feeble health for sometime, and had been seriously ill for the past three weeks. He was prominently connected with the business affairs of Athens in his younger and active days, and won numerous friends, whose esteem he bore until his death.
Surviving him are his widow, two daughters, Mrs H C Green of Bluffton, Ga, and Miss Ida Belle Booth, and a son, Mr G A Booth of Athens; also a brother, Mr Thomas Booth.
The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral Services for Mr G M Booth will be held from the Prince Avenue Baptist church today at 11 a.m., Rev E H Jennings, assisted by Rev S R Grubb, conducting the service. Interment will follow in Oconee cemetery.
