"FUNERAL SERICES TODAY FOR GARDEN VALLEY MAN
David Proctor Cox, 58, of Garden Valley, passed away at his home Monday, after a short illness.
A native of Kansas and a veteran of World War I, he had been employed as a truck driver in the County Road Department for several years.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Esther Cox of Garden Valley, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Claire Baxley of North Hollywood. He was a brother of Ira Cox of Placerville.
Cox was a member of the Sheriff's Posse, the Marshall Grange, and Growlersburg Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services will be held today at 2:00 at the Methodist Church in Georgetown, with committal in the Kelsey Cemetery."
