Edna Lubking Murray, 78, a 74-year Wenatchee resident, died in Central Washington Hospital early Sunday morning. She was born Edna Thornbrue May 13, 1906, at Coulee City and spent her early life there. In 1911, she came to Wenatchee with her family and attended schools here. On July 3, 1925, she married Eugene W. Lubking, Sr. in Wenatchee. She was employed by the Adair Shop for several years and then by the Fashion Shop until her retirement. In January of 1974 she married Robert F. Murray and he died in April of that year. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; past president of the Democratic Women's Club; and past president of P.T.A. In the 1940's, she began the physical therapy program through the YMCA. Survivors include one son, Eugene W. Lubking, East Wenatchee; a sister, Mrs. Adalene Dahl, Wenatchee; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers including George W. Thornbrue who preceded her in death by two hours, and by two sisters. Arrangements are by the Jones & Jones Funeral Home.
