William J. Bihn Jr., 86, of Donnellson died at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Fort Madison Community Hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1922, in Keokuk, he was the son of William J. and Josephine Inez Parson Bihn Sr. On April 23, 1966, he married Anneliese Schene in Quincy, Ill. Mr. Bihn farmed and worked 25 years for Steel Castings in Keokuk. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington. He enjoyed painting, the St. Louis Cardinals, playing violin, cars and history. Survivors include his wife; one son, Paul William Bihn of Normal, Ill.; two daughters, Delores Anneliese Ulbricht of Rochester, Minn., and Mary Elizabeth Batley of Donnellson; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Donnellson, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. and the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. The mass of Christian burial for Mr. Bihn will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, with the Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison. Memorials have been established for the Butterfly Garden Room of Fort Madison Community Hospital and St. Boniface Catholic Church.
