CHAMBERSBURG Robert G. Gray, 78, of 490 Star Ave., formerly of Neelyton, died Wednesday in Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Campbelltown.

He was a retired ironworker; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of Shade Gap United Methodist Church, Harrisburg Ironworkers Union Local 404, Shade Gap Fire Company, Mount Union VFW Post 5754 and American Legion Post 107, Orbisonia Cromwell F&AM Lodge 572, Mifflintown-Juniata Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 88; a 32nd-degree member of Harrisburg Consistory; and a former advisory board member of Blairs Mills office of Juniata Valley Bank.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby Fogal Gray; two sons, Lee G. of Elizabethtown and Steven F. of Chambersburg; a daughter, Lawanda Wilson of Fayetteville; a brother, John J. of McCoysville; two sisters, Iva B. Parnell of McConnellsburg and Virginia G. Jones of Fort Loudon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Agett Funeral Home, Dry Run. Burial will be in East Waterford Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
