Statesboro - Mrs. Minnie Mikell, 80, died Thursday at a nursing home here after a long illness.
The Bulloch County native had been a longtime resident of Statesboro and was a member of Statesboro First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jane Brannen of Hurst, Texas, Mrs. Helen Jackie Yates of Savannah and Mrs. Mariben Thompson of Guyton; a sister, Mrs. Essie Quattlebaum of Leesburg, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, burial in Eastside Cemetery.
