She died Saturday night in Shreveport. A member of Clarks Baptist Church, she also belonged to the Eastern Star and the White Lilly Chapter of Clarks.
Graveside services will be held at the Old Bethel Cemetery Monday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Jones officiating.
Mrs. Cooksey is survived by four daughters, Miss Dora Cooksey, Mrs. Virginia Miller and Mrs. Ray Hodges, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Faye Griffin, California; five sons, Major P. E. Cooksey, Dayton, Ohio, S. T. Cooksey, Lafayette, H. O. Cooksey Jr., Olla, L. M. Cooksey, Delhi, and Dr. Charles Cooksey, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Norton, Rogers, N. Mex. and Mrs. Lessie Blankenship, St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, T. W. Atebey [sic Atteberry]; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
