FORT WORTH - Roxie Jenkins Boyd, 86, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Broadway Baptist Church. The Rev. Gene Thompson and the Rev. Bert Honea will officiate. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Dr. W.R. Jenkins, B. Ray Jenkins, Charles W. Jenkins, Dr. Jesse D. Jenkins Jr., W.R. Jenkins Jr. and Joseph Kovac. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Felecia Class of Broadway Baptist Church.

Memorials: the family respectfully declines flowers; however, should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at Broadway Baptist Church; or to a charity of choice.

Roxie Jenkins Boyd was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Springtown and had been a Fort Worth resident since 1915. She was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church and a volunteer in The Baptist Center, the Felecia Class, a charter member of Fort Worth Bankers' Wives Club, a member of the Ridglea Morning Rejebian Club and Ridglea Country Club.

All who knew and loved her will remember the sweetness of her spirit and the kindness of her heart.

Survivors: Husband of 56 years, Ellis H. Boyd Jr.; and daughter, Roxanne Boyd Honea and her husband, Murph, of Fort Worth.
