She was a native of Glascock County before moving to Augusta at a young age, then to Hephzibah in 1989. Jean was the former owner of Salon of Beauty, and she enjoyed working in her yard. She loved her dogs, Heidi and Jody and her cats, Sissy and Penny. She was preceded by her parents, Stanley and Reba Storey, and a brother, J.W. Storey. Jean is survived by her brothers, Larry L. (Joyce) Storey, Sr. of Augusta, and Rickey W. (Carol) Storey, Sr. of Evans; sisters, Sylvia B. Prendergast of Martinez, and Angela M. (Arthur) Ash of Hephzibah; her beloved companion, James C. McFall of Hephzibah, and 12 nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to her nurse, Priscilla Lamb. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Road Chapel with Pastor Marion Jay officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchell, GA. Pallbearers will be Larry Storey, Jr., Rickey Storey, Jr., Ryan Storey, Stevie Prendergast, Jason Zahner, and Stanley Storey The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
