H. L. Beacham
H. L. Doc Beacham, 70, of Columbia, died 11 p.m. Friday at Marion County Hospital in Columbia. He was a retired grocer, born in Wesson, Miss., and reared in Columbia.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Lott Beacham; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Catt of Monticello, Miss., and Mrs. Althea Taylor of Gulfport; two stepchildren, C. E. Ratliff and Mrs. Mary Helen Housley, both of Sumrall, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday afternoon in Columbia at the Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery.

Final rites were held at Colonial Funeral Chapel for H. L. Beacham, 70. Interment was in Columbia Cemetery. Beacham died unexpectedly at the Marion County General Hospital.
Survivors are: Wife, Ada Beacham, three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Catt, Monticello, Mrs. Althea Ruth Taylor, Gulfport, Mrs. Mary Helen Housely, Sumrall; one son, C. E. Ratcliff, Lake City, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Houpy of New Orleans; fifteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
