She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years at the time of his passing on September 8, 1994 Charles Bass; a son David Lee Bass and a grandson David Clay Bass both on August 21, 2012. Polly was a member of the Mint Hill Eastern Star #51 for 50 plus years and a dedicated member of Eastwood Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, mountains and going on cruises.
Survivors include her children Charles Danny Bass and wife Elaine, Deborah Hahn and husband David and Darlene Burrows and husband Reverend Roger Burrows; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
