It is a biography of his sisters life but the first half is devoted to her childhood and family history. Excellent telling of Mecklenburg Co. / Union county history. The book is called GRAMFLAKES.

Mrs. Polly Lingle Plyler Bass, 89, of Matthews passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Novant Hospital in Matthews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held, Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 10:00AM until 10:45 AM with funeral services at 11:00AM at Eastwood Forest Baptist Church, 112 Aurora Blvd, Matthews, NC 28105. Interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bass was born in Rock Hill, SC, on April 8, 1930 to the late William Lingle Plyler and Edna Rogers Plyler. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years at the time of his passing on September 8, 1994 Charles Bass; a son David Lee Bass and a grandson David Clay Bass both on August 21, 2012. Polly was a member of the Mint Hill Eastern Star #51 for 50 plus years and a dedicated member of Eastwood Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, mountains and going on cruises.
Survivors include her children Charles Danny Bass and wife Elaine, Deborah Hahn and husband David and Darlene Burrows and husband Reverend Roger Burrows; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Eastwood Forest Baptist Church.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel.
