Bessie Banton Hayth, of Goode, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 in Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, a daughter of the late, John Woodrow Banton and Daisey Mae Simpson Banton. She was retired from Miller & Rhodes Department Stores with 25 years service and was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy G. Hayth. She is survived by her two sons, Roy G. Hayth, Jr. and his wife, Julia of Roanoke; Richard S. Hayth and his wife, Bobbi of Goode; five grandchildren, Alan Hayth, Michael Hayth, Christopher Hayth, Eric Hayth, Alicia Hayth. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2004 in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Furman officiating.
