Mrs. Zola Lee Ammons, age 79, of Irvington, died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Medco Center of Hardinsburg. Mrs.
Ammons was born June 3, 1919, in Breckinridge County. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Ammons; a daughter, Reba Milburn, Big Spring; four sons, Walter Thomas Ammons,
Glendale, James Leonard Ammons, Irvington, Denver Ammons, Hardinsburg, and Joseph Wayne Ammons, McQuady; two
sisters, Nannie Arnold, Guston, and Maxine McCoy, Vine Grove; two brothers, Jack Ammons and Harold "Tony" Ammons,
Guston; nine grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with the
Rev. Julius Lucas officiating. Burial was in Big Spring Methodist Church Cemetery.
