Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Bandon Chapel for Abbie May Mecum, 96, of Four Mile, who died April 6. A resident of the Bandon area for the past 40 years, Mrs. Mecum was born August 11, 1878, in Corydon, Indiana.
Survivors include two sons, Norville Loftin of Bandon and Kenneth Loftin of Springfield, five grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Rick Applegate of Faith Baptist Church officiated, with private interment in the IOOF Cemetery.
