Lyle Moffitt, 75, of Wheatland died on March 26 at United Medical Center -- West in Cheyenne.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1926, at Wheatland General Hospital in Wheatland to Floyd and Etha May (Cornelison) Moffitt.
He was reared and educated at Glendo; graduating from Glendo High School in 1944.
Mr. Moffitt worked on the family ranch south of Glendo until retiring to Wheatland in June of 2001. He also worked for ASCS office for 18 years.
He married Barbara Sherwood on July 13, 1996 in Wheatland at the Methodist Church.
Mr. Moffitt is survived by his wife, Barbara of Wheatland; one brother, Marion Moffitt of Denver, Colo.; and one sister, Jeraldine Little of Little Rock, Ark.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Platte Funeral Chapel in Wheatland with Pastor Delbert Dick officiating. Internment will be in Wheatland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Hooley, Charles Thorne, Jr., Lloyd Koerwitz and Gene Russell.
