On March 12, 2011, the Lord called home his servant James Litchfield Jr., age 55 of Radford.

Born October 8, 1955 in Virginia Beach, he was the son of the late James Stanley Litchfield Sr. and Aileen Beale Litchfield.

He was a graduate of Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, N.C.. He was employed by Radford University and Wades Foods. He was beloved by those who worked with him for his hard work ethic and his kind demeanor. He was a member of New River Baptist Temple where he was known for his faithfulness and service.

His life touched so many and he will be remembered as a good man with a good heart.
(Psalm 37:23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.

He is survived by the "Light of his Life" and only child, Ashley Dawn and husband, Kevin Gregory Worley of Dublin; brother, David Litchfield, Florida; sisters, Linda Anderson, Virginia Beach, Barbara Cressmon, Virginia Beach, and Jeanette Bennington, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 Wednesday at the New River Baptist Temple with the Pastor Gary Stike officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Dublin Cemetery, Dublin.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
