Marion Bird, 81, passed away on the morning of May 4, 2007. She was born on November 27, 1925 to Lucille Winward and Dewey Bird. Raised in Springville, Marion graduated from Springville High School. She always spoke fondly of classmates and teachers. School was one of her favorite memories. Marion worked for many years in the sewing industry; in Provo for The Barbazon and Jolenes. She had a gift with needle and thread. Marion was blessed with one daughter: Sharon (James) Evans of Salem. Survived by one brother, Marvin (Viva) Bird of Springville, seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, a sister, Riva (Harold) Greder of Oxnard, California, a brother, Roy (Loraine) Bird of Springville and a grandson, Kevin S. Rowe of Springville. The family would like to thank the many health care workers that cared for Marion over the years, especially the staff at Spanish Fork Nursing and Rehab and Alpine Hospice who helped her thru the last few weeks. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the South Valley View Ward at 636 South 25 East (Apple Blossom Way) in Salem, UT. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville, UT and Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
