Agnes M. Bjerke, age 88, of Edinburg, ND passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND.
Agnes M. Bjerke was born June 23, 1919 near Nekoma, ND to the late Charlie and Hannah (Nelson) Nelson. She attended schools at Highland and Vejetasa School Districts. She married Otto Bjerke April 19, 1941 in Edinburg. The couple farmed near Edinburg and Adams. Otto passed away April 21, 1975. After Otto's death Agnes assisted with the elderly people, making it possible for them to stay in their own homes. Agnes retired in 1985 and later moved to Edinburg, ND.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Edinburg, ND, a member of the former Odalen Lutheran Church and a member of WELCA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otto, brothers, Carl, and infant brother; sisters, Hazel Jore, Helen Anderson, Doris Kinlaw, and Ruth Myren.
