Calvin Kenneth Frank was born Feb. 16, 1933 at home to Edna Frank Wittneben and Julius Frank in Bellville, the second of three children, and spent his childhood in Austin County.

The Lord called Calvin to heaven Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 from his home Houston, Texas with his loving family by his side.

Calvin served in the US Army, moved to Houston, and married the love of his life Irene Krupala on Dec. 14, 1957. Together they settled in Houston where he worked for and retired from Houston Automatic Transmission Service (HATS) and raised two wonderful daughters.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and restoring antique John Deere Tractors. He was a member of the Sharecroppers Antique Farm Equipment Club where he made numerous friends. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation was held at Knesek Funeral Home in Bellville, with Funeral Service on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston and Graveside Service at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.

He is survived by his wife Irene Krupala Frank, daughter Cheryl Reynolds and husband Mark and daughter Sheila Richard and husband Wayne, grandson Zachary Calvin Richard, sister Edna Krupala, sister/brother-in-laws Ruth and Elmer Schroeder, Paul and Pat Krupala, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Leon Frank, sister-in-law Florence Leschper Frank, brother-in-law Edwin Krupala, nephew Larry Schroeder, half sister's Luella Frank Ashley and Louise Frank Woehst, half brother's Julius Frank Jr. and Lester Frank, and many close friends.

Pallbearers were Thomas Krupala, Clifton Krupala, Winston Schroeder, Ronald Schroeder, Paul Krupala Jr., James Krupala, and Honorary Pallbearers were Rex Waxler and Francis Huffman.
