Edward Dean Funderberg, 54, of Rock Falls, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at CGH Medical Center.
Mr. Funderberg was born Nov. 14, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Raymond Harold and Lila (Simpson) Funderberg. He married Dana (Pollock) Johnson on Sept. 20, 2003, in Fulton.
At the time of his death, he was a truck driver for Potter Trucking, Rock Falls.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mary Funderberg of Morrison; three sons, Edward D. (Jessica) Funderberg Jr. and Dustin Funderberg, both of Sterling, and Ben (Rebekah) Funderberg of Rock Falls; one stepson, Jerimiah Johnson of Morrison; three stepdaughters, Miranda Johnson of Rock Falls, Ashley (Gary) Tate of Clarksville, Tenn., and Lacey Rus of Rock Falls; two brothers, the Rev. Les (Paulette) Funderberg and Sam (Mary Jo) Funderberg, both of Rock Falls; seven sisters, Mary Durbin of Malden, Barb (Ed) VanDyke of Thomson, Lucy (Jim) Jennings of Princeton, Sue (Roger) Cook of Rock Falls, Wanda Peterson of Sterling, Cindy (Randy) Seaba of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tammy (Wyatt) Bush of Boggata, Texas; five grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Amber; and two brothers, Bradley and David Funderberg.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Open Bible Church, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Les Funderberg officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
