Formerly of Wardell, Mr. Waddell moved to Hillsdale in 1965 and was employed by the Art Welding Co. In Wellston as a boiler maker. He was a member of the Boiler Makers Union.
He was born in Dunklin County June 5, 1915, the son of Summers and Bessie Busby Waddell. On October 29, 1935, at Wardell, he was married to Odia Cheshire.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Odia Waddell of Hillsdale; four sons, George (Buddy) Waddell of Poplar Bluff, Floyd Waddell of Flint, Mich., Lloyd and Jack Waddell of Hillsdale; three daughters, Mrs. Glendola Hevener of Lendon, Mich., Mrs. Joy Holloway of Michie, Tenn., and Mrs. Jeanie Tarrent of St. Louis; His mother, Mrs. Bessie Waddell of Wardell; a brother, J.B. Waddell of Wardell; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Mae Barrymon of Wardell, Mrs. Pauline Latham of Beebe, Ark., and Mrs. Lucille Williams of Williams, Mich., and 21 grandchildren.
