Mrs. Nora Jean Bowser
Mrs. Nora Jean Bowser, 69, of 316 Bluff St. Kittanning, and widow of Clyde Bowser, died Thursday morning in the emergency room of the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital from an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Bowser was a former employe of Zimmers Store and the Arcade at Kittanning.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, West Kittanning Firemen's Auxiliary, Armstrong County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Kittanning Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, 40 and 8, Ladies of Retirement Age (LORA), American Legion auxiliary, Kittanning Senior Citizens Club, Ladies Columbine Rebekah Lodge, all of Kittanning.
Born, Sept. 26, 1932 in East Franklin Township, she was a daughter of George and Mary (Armstrong) John.
Surviving are a son, Bernie Bowser of West Kitttanning; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Lois) Richardson and Mrs. Richard (Roma Jean) Robinson, both of Applewood; two brothers, Frank John of East Brady and Paul A. John of Tyrone; two sisters, Mrs. L. Arthur (Pearle) Campbell of Kittanning, Mrs. Clara McCanna of Kittanning RD 2; four grandchildren.
BOWSER – Friends of Mrs. Nora Jean Bowser, who died July 29, 1971, will be received at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday. Viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church until time of service at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Daniel P. Abrams, pastor of First Baptist Church, Kittanning. Burial will be in West Glade Run Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder of Kittanning.
