St. George, Utah – Glenna Hatch Iverson passed away peacefully on a beautiful spring morning after a courageous battle with Parkinson and Cancer, at her daughter's home, surrounded by loved ones. Glenna was born the fifth of seven children to Joseph Aaron and Zetta Mae Shakespear Hatch. She attended local schools in Springville, Utah. On June 23, 1950, Glenna married Duard Wharton Iverson. Together they had five children, Tris (Bonnie) of St. George, UT, Duard Glen (Cindy (Scott Dyer)) Iverson of Las Vegas, NV, Ramona (Ron) Lundquist of Meridian, ID, Stella Iverson of St. George, UT and Rodney Iverson of St. George, UT. Her joy has been magnified in her golden years by 21 grandchildren/grandchildren-in-law and 55 great-grandchildren. Her son, Glen (died at age 33); parents, Joseph and Zetta Hatch; four brothers, Joseph, Delmar, Farris and Milton; and two sisters, Donna and Norma preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Duard W. Iverson of St. George, UT; four children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her posterity has built their lives on her legacy of faith, service and love.

Glenna worked as a telephone operator until she started having a family. She was the owner and operator of Mode O'Day for five years. She worked for Center and Christensen's department stores in the fabric section for many years. Glenna faithfully served in all the auxiliaries of the LDS Church. Her happiest years were serving in the St. George Temple. She loved to read, crochet and do hand work. She belonged to a sewing club for 55 years. Glenna loved the flowers and often enjoyed riding around town looking at the beautiful blossoms, she will feel right at home among the beautiful gardens of eternity. She played volleyball until age 76, when parkinson and cancer robbed her of that joy. Glenna loved to attend the Hatch Reunions and greet family members. Today they are having the biggest reunion of them all where she is greeted with their loving arms.

The family wishes to thank the host of friends, neighbors and professionals who loved and cared for Glenna in her declining years. Her daughter, son and husband took care of her needs preceding her passing, but special mention must be made of Coty Lee and Stacy Bundy, her live-in care givers who brought her joy, humor and tenderness to her in this time of need and the devoted employees of Applegate Home Care and Hospice, especially Nanette Day, who so loved Glenna. Appreciation is expressed to the members of the Morningside Third Ward for their loyalty and compassionate service to Glenna and her family in this time of loss.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George. Friends may call Friday, March 18, from 6:00-8:00 pm and also Saturday, from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services, both visitations held at the Mortuary. Interment will take place in the Washington City Cemetery.
