The many friends of Mrs. John McVickers, formerly a resident of Bonne Terre, were shocked and bereaved the fore part of this week to learn of her death at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 15th. She was forty-one years of age.
Mr. and Mrs. John McVicker and two children resided here for several years and have a wide circle of friends to mourn the passing of Mrs. McVicker.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Ellis J. and Emily Jones. She is survived by her husband and one son, John E. Jr., and one daughter, Miss Alberta, all of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. M.E. Asbridge and Mrs. Hines Wilson of East Bonne Terre.
Funeral services were conducted at the St. Jospeh Catholic Church Wednesday morning at requiem mass with the Rev. G.W. Brinkman officiating. Interment made the St. Joseph cemetery.
