Elzie L. (Papa) Armstrong, 87, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Nov, 2, 1999 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Inman and the Rev. John A. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Cryer Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Armstrong was born Sept. 9, 1912 in Cryer Creek. He was a farmer and a member of Emhouse Baptist Church of 71 years. He served as a Deacon for may years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhoda Minnie Jane Garlington Armstrong; father, William Henry Armstrong; sister, Pansy Maggard; and brother, Alvie Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife, Helen Ruth Armstrong of Corsicana; daughter, Marilyn Krantz of Corsicana; brother, Ocie Armstrong of Mansfield; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amber and David Keele of Corsicana; grandson, Eric Kyle Krantz; five great-granddaughters, Dakota Brianne Fitzgerald, Jennifer Leeanne Firzgerald, Rebecca Chayenne Fitzgerald, Macayla Rayanne Keele, and Eryka Morgan Analise Krantz, all of Corsicana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Armstrong, Rick Ferrer, Eric Larsen, Don Lewis, Dwayne Owen, Lewis Watking, Robert Watkins and Will Watkins.
