OBITUARY-
Mary Lou Vincent Avery was born December 1, 1924 to Ray and Goldie Vincent in Freedom, Oklahoma. She graduated from Freedom High School and North-Western Oklahoma State University in Alva.
Mary Lou died on October 31, 1993 at Baptist Memerial Hospital in Houston, Texas after a long bout with cancer. At Mary Lou's request, her body has been donated to Baylor School of Medicine for cancer research. She will be cremated later with her ashes taken to Brookside Cemetery in Houston.

She married Kenneth Avery on December 3 1954 in Houston. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth. She is also survived by three sons: (1) Terry Lee of Arlington, Texas, (2) Dennis Ray, and wife, Linda, and granddaughters, Denise, Tanya, and Kimberly of Waxachachie, Texas, and (3) Michael Allen and wife, Masami, and gransons, Michael and Matthew of San Diego, California. Mary Lou is also survived by two step-daughters, Susan and Patsy, their husbands and children, all of Houston. She also leaves three sisters, Edith Cornish, Bonnie Eshleman, and Betty Calabretta, all of Oklahoma. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Ina Vincent and also a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Edwin, Kenneth, and Loyd.
