An early settler of Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, PA. Jon (Jonathan) was the son of Captain James Adams of the Cumberland County militia. There is a Spanish American War marker on his grave for some reason!!!!

The birthdate comes from a family bible held by Captain James Adams' daughter, Lydia. Two researchers copied the records before it was destroyed. Also published in Genealogy and Biography of Rev.
