Manuel G. Soliz,86, a retired rancher who was born in Faywood and had resided all his life in Grant County, died this week at the Ft. Bayard Hospital. Surviving the deceased are three sons, Frank and Ramon Soliz of Faywood and Jesus Soliz of Hurley; two daughters, Mrs. Concepcion S. Marquez of Deming and Mrs. Carmen S. Chavez of Gardena,Calif.; and 23 grandchildern. Rosary services were conducted Tuesday evening in the home of the deceased. The funeral Mass was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Faywood at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Fr. Carl Nieset officiating. Burial followed in the Faywood Cemetery.
