He was the son of Abraham Brodbeck and Margaret Foster Funkhouser.On Nov. 06, 1853 he married Sarah Ann Bray, in Dearbourn Co., IN..(Volume 8) Sarah Ann Bray was born about 1836. She is buried at Salem United Bretheran Cemetery between Iconium and Moravia. They had a son named Charles Funkhouser born 1861 . He survived four months from April to August. He was buried next to his mother.
