Luella married 1st to George Buckner Catlett &

had a son, Albert Chandler Catlett. After death of Mr. Catlett, she married 2nd to Henry F. Clark. Albert Chandler Catlett was her only child.


Confederate widow Ella Copeland Clark was born May 16, 1860 in Smith County, Texas, the daughter of John Copeland (of South Carolina) and Lizzie Chandler (of Georgia). 


She married Confederate Veteran George Catlett on August 18, 1883. Catlett served in the Kentucky 10th Cavalry under Colonel Adam Johnson who is also buried in the Texas State Cemetery. She lived in Royse City for an undisclosed period of time. At some point, she married another Confederate veteran, Henry Clark. 


She applied for admission to the Confederate Women's Home in Austin in 1932 and was accepted on April 19th of that year. She died six years later at the age of 78 on August 13, 1938 of "myocarditis" (inflammation of the heart) and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery.
