There was a private burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Grass Valley. A celebration of life is planned for late spring.
Patricia was born April 5, 1930, in Clearwater, Neb., to Gustav Mathias Rundquist and Lois Marantha Waite.
She attended Clearwater High School, Class of 1949, and University of Northern Colorado, Class of 1953.
Patricia married John Lamat in 1953 and later remarried, in 1958 to Jack Sweetser. She was a school teacher for more than 40 years in Rifle, Colo., Woodland, Calif., and Hennessy, Lyman Gilmore and Scotten schools in Grass Valley.
She was a member of NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), board member for Nevada County Mental Health and volunteered for the Nevada County Behavioral Health Snack Program for many years.
Her hobbies included singing, performing arts, reading and gardening.
She was predeceased by Robin Luebke, sister, 1981; John Peter Lamat, son, 1986; Robin Sweetser, daughter, 1989; and James Jason Sweetser, son, 2009.
Survivors include Charles Rundquist, brother, Kimberly, Wisc.; Jane Rundquist-Cardenas, sister, Austin, Texas; Mary Sweetser, daughter, Grass Valley; Robin Sweetser, granddaughter, Grass Valley; Jessica Lamat, granddaughter, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Angela Straub, granddaughter, Nevada City; and several nieces and nephews.
