Mr. Bascum Edgar Coffey, 75, of Enterprise, AL; formerly of Adair and Russel Counties, passed away Saturday, February 1, 1986 at the Humana Hospital Enterprise in Enterprise, AL.

He was the son of the late Samuel and Emma Conover Coffey.

Mr. Coffey is survived by his wife Mayme Burton Coffey of Enterprise, AL; one son, Gerald Coffey of Enterprise; two brothers, William G. Coffey of Forrest, Illinois and Joe P. Coffey of Louisville, KY; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Powell of Louisville, Ky; two grandchildren, Terri Ellis and David R. Coffey and two great-grandchildren, Nikki Belle Ellis and Sarah Brook Ellis all of Enterprise, AL.

Mr. Coffey was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 3, 1986 at 2 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Sapp officiating and burial in the Freedom Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Michael Coffey, Ricky Coffey, Darrell Coffey, Leon Huff, Wally Rexroat and Tony Rooks.
