Funeral services for Amy Clara Nowell, 95, of Goldthwaite, will be at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 22, 2006, at the Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite with Brother Doug Holtzclaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nowell died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
She was born on April 6, 1910, in Scurry County, to George Alvin Lee and Amy Carmack Lee. On May 12, 1928, she was married to Roy Baird Nowell in North Bennett Community.
Survivors include three sons, Robert E. Nowell of Corpus Christi, Roy K. Nowell of Corpus Christi and John Nowell of Goldthwaite; one daughter, Melva Wheat of Goldthwaite; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Juanita Miller of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
